Pastor George Rauchfuss
My name is George Rauchfuss, I am the Lead Pastor here at Mosaic. I have been following Jesus since 1974 (wow that makes me pretty old).
In 1976 I started sensing God's call upon my life to enter the pastoral ministry. That lead me to pursue ordination in the church of the Nazarene which occurred in 1986.
My pastoral life was lived out in one church, the Valley Stream Church of the Nazarene. From 1976 until 2006 I worked under one pastor, my mentor, friend, boss, coach, encourager, etc., Rev. Art Alexander. Mosaic was planted in 2006 from our mother church.
After all these years I am still pursuing my relationship with Jesus and enjoying seeing others do the same.
I have been married to Laura, the love and inspiration of my life (some brownie points) since 1980. We have three wonderful children, Timothy, Hannah and Jonathan, two great daughters in law Jackie and Jenn and one terrific son in law Samuel.
And last, but certainly not least, two incredible granddaughters, Jami Grace and Beatrice Hope (and my furry companions Spike & Bea-Bea). We are still waiting for some more grandkids. (no pressure)
But bring them on!!!

Pastor Tom Albanese
Hi everyone! My name is Laura Rauchfuss. My husband and I met at the Nazarene Coffeehouse in the Summer of 1975 when we were 2 young hippies who had just met Jesus at the Valley Stream Church of the Nazarene. We played to together at the Coffeehouse in a band called “A Joyful Song” which ministered in many Christian Coffee Houses in the tri-state area during the mid to late 70s. We also played together on the Sunday Morning Worship Team.
I attended Nassau Community College and Molloy College, and have my degrees in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and English. Much of my training as a Children’s Sunday School teacher was acquired by taking multiple Christian Service Training Classes at Valley Stream Church of the Nazarene.
George and I were married by Pastor Art Alexander in that church in June of 1980, where all three of our children Timothy, Hannah and Jonathan were dedicated.
I enjoy art, music, cooking and baking, creative projects, and organizing spaces and events. So, most of my jobs at Mosaic involve those skills which is very energizing for me.
I like to laugh, enjoy old movies, love my puppies, and spending time with my two beautiful granddaughters, Jami Grace and Beatrice Hope. I have the best children anyone could have and their spouses, Jackie, Samuel and Jenn are a gift from God I am thankful for the strength and encouragement given us each week by our Pastoral Staff and the loving support and faithful help that has been given to me in the office for so many years by my “momma” Brenda.
I am grateful to God for the many years he has given George and I to serve Him together in His House by encouraging people in their journey with Jesus.
I am the Associate Pastor at Mosaic Church of the Nazarene since January 2015. My wife Donna and I facilitate Divorce Care and Grief Share groups at Mosaic. We also serve communion every week. I am the Director of Missions at Mosaic. I preach several times a year and teach a weekly bible study. I’ve been a follower of Jesus for more than forty years.
I have a B.S. in accounting as well as a M.B.A. in controllership from St. John’s University in Queens, N.Y. I have a M.A. in biblical literature-Greek New Testament from Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, N.Y. I have a M. Div. in Christian Studies from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. I also have a Th. M. in biblical studies from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I was ordained by the Nazarene Church in May 2019.
My wife Donna and I have been married since 2010. Donna has two sons and a daughter. I have two sons and two daughters. I also have a granddaughter whom I love spending time with.

Angela Oberdorfer
Spiritual Direction
Hi I’m Angela and I’m a lay leader here at Mosaic. I’ve been a follower of Jesus for over 35 years and my faith journey is still an exciting and challenging adventure, and it informs every aspect of my life. Here at Mosaic I teach spiritual formation classes, lead small groups, do a little preaching, and offer spiritual direction one on one or in groups. I received my training and certification in spiritual direction through St. Ignatius Retreat House in 2007, and am experienced in both the Ignatian and contemplative/evocative approach to direction.
I also have a Master of Arts in Religion/Spiritual Formation through Northwest Nazarene University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Education from SUNY Stony Brook.
My husband Dave and I have been married for almost 45 years, and we have two married sons and three precious grandchildren. I love spending time with my family, going on road trips, reading, cooking, and gathering with the great community of people at Mosaic, where I feel a sense of belonging and acceptance and enjoy rich relationships. If you visit, I’m sure you’ll feel it too. Thanks for checking out our website. If you have any questions or are interested in Spiritual Direction you may contact me @ angela.oberdorfer51@gmail.com

Brenda Whitten- Adm. Assistant
My name is Brenda and I’ve been part of Mosaic since the church first started in 2006, and I’ve been active in church life for most of that time. I guess you would say I’m a “people person,” so I enjoy the time I spend in the church office, where I help out with sending letters and emails, making and receiving phone calls, putting together bulletins and flyers, and just generally helping out however I can.
One of the things that I love to do is call or visit folks that might not be able to make it to church regularly… that brings me joy. If you have a prayer request, a question about something, or could just use a word of encouragement I’m at the office every Wednesday afternoon and I’m always happy to help you! I’m also a Sunday morning greeter, so if you visit Mosaic one Sunday you’ll find me at the front door. Come on in an introduce yourself!
